The Columbus Music Academy of Art & offers a wide range of classes and workshops for children from central Ohio communities. From the Columbus International Children's Choir to music theory classes and singing classes, kids aged 4 to 18 can discover the world of art and music. Puppetry is an ancient art form, believed to have originated around 4,000 years ago. Puppets have been used since ancient times to express the ideas and needs of human societies.
Learn more about the history of puppets while creating your own characters with a variety of materials. Mixed technique of fine arts & kinds of ceramics is also available. Learning can be enjoyable for all ages! Every artist has the opportunity to get their hands dirty while learning sculpting, modeling and glazing techniques. During this three-week residential program, students will receive graduate-level instruction in their desired specialty in the morning, along with professional development with close mentoring, collaborative workshops, and electives taught by Columbus artists and CCAD faculty and staff in the afternoon.
